On Friday, April 9, T.J. Mimbs, the District Attorneys and Drew Dixon will be rocking out to answer one question: What the NF?!

Our first “What the NF?!” benefit concert will be held at Tasty World, featuring alternative and folk rock performances by these three great local Athens bands.

We’ll have drink specials until 11 and prizes throughout the night, including an autograph by George Clooney, a night at Hotel Indigo, more than $100 in massages at Urban Sanctuary and a custom cornhole set.

“NF is something that is a very real concern for thousands of Americans. The course is uncertain, and the fear of what tomorrow holds is a burden no one should have to live with,” says Chad Leathers, co-founder of the Tumornators. “The UGA Tumornators are working hard to assure that one day no one has is left asking: what the NF!?”

Neurofibromatosis (NF) affects more than 100,000 Americans, which is more than those affected by cystic fibrosis, hereditary muscular dystrophy, Huntington’s disease and tay sachs combined.

As with all of our events, the proceeds from the concert will go to the Children’s Tumor Foundation, the world’s leading research organization on NF.

Doors open at 9:30 p.m. with Drew Dixon playing at 10:00. Tickets are $5 and can be bought at the door. Advance tickets are also $5 and include a free ticket to enter to win prizes. To order advance tickets, click here.

Come rock out with us at Tasty World to fight NF!

That’s right! This weekend, Chad Leathers and more than 400 others ran around the Capital IN THEIR UNDERWEAR for the Children’s Tumor Foundation. The event raised more than $12,000 for NF research and was called a “smashing success” by DC’s Examiner.com. This was the first annual Cupid’s Undie Run organized by fellow Tumornator Brendan Hanrahan. We vow to keep the “FUN” in FUNdraising, so… UGAT Undie Run? Leave a comment to let us know!

UGAT Percentage Night!

February 15th, 2010 Chad No comments

Our First UGA Tumornators Percentage Night was a HUGE success! Special Thanks to Travis Boyles and Sand Bar for your support! Travis Boyles donated his time to play for the event, and played some great music. Travis Boyles is from Athens and often plays in local bars and other venues. Sand Bar was a vital part in our success for allowing us to have a percentage of their sales for the night! We can’t thank everyone enough for coming out and supporting us! We are having another percentage night Tuesday, November 17, 2009 at On the Rocks on Clayton Street. So we hope to see everyone out for another great night of fighting for a cure for NF!
